10 Of The Best Pop Punk Collaborations

The best pop punk collaborations you may and may not know about!

What could possibly be better than listening to your favourite band? Maybe hearing another of your favourite bands feature on the track, right?! Sometimes it’s amazing…sometimes it’s a disaster you think the producers may have mentioned before releasing the song but there’s something undeniably fun about a guest appearances on a record.

You’ll find a lot of guest appearances are due to the other artists being friends with the band or are label mates, either way, having a different energy and style on a record is a great way to introduce a new artist to new ears.

We have put together a few examples of our favourite guest collaborations, some you’ll definitely be aware of, some you probably won’t have known existed. There’s obviously a tonne more of examples so why don’t you share some of your favourites in the comments section and we’ll try and find the best collaboration of all time.

Fall Out Boy – “Chicago Is So Two Years Ago” featuring Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack

It took me years to realise there was even a guest vocalist on “Chicago” but once I heard it, it was so obvious I doubted all of my senses.

Set Your Goals – “The Few That Remains” – featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore

When I first heard this I thought it was cringingly awful with the “Yo Dude’s” and the “Mind if I get in on this”. But now I’ve stopped being stuck up, its incredibly fun and reminds us that Hayley came from our pop punk roots.

The Wonder Years – All My Friends Are In Bar Bands” – featuring Matty Arsenault, Dave Mackinder, Shane Henderson, Jamie Rhoden, and Nik Bruzzese

Talk about a pop punk dream come true. In the amazing end to one of their most popular albums, The Wonder years get help from their pals in A Loss For Words, Fireworks, Valencia, Man Overboard and Title Fight to bring home “The Upsides”. Away from the stereotype that all pop punk vocalists sound the same it’s safe to say that all of Soupy’s friends are no longer in bar bands.

The Early November – “Fluxy” – featuring Kenny Vasoli of The Starting Line

Two of my favourite bands growing up that highlight why Drive Thru Records was the king of pop punk labels.

A Day To Remember – “If It Means A Lot To You” – featuring Sierra Kusterbeck of VersaEmerge

A lot of pop punk kids will peg this as one of their favourite love songs of the genre, but the perfect mix of vocal styles really pushes this up as one of the best modern collabs.

Transit – “All Your Heart” featuring Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy

Just when you’re enjoying one of the best songs on ‘Listen and Forgive’ you can’t mistake Patrick Stumps familiar voice adding some poppy background layers.

New Found Glory – “King of Wishful Thinking” featuring Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy

In round 2 of Patrick Stump’s guest appearances, he takes turns with Jordan to make one of New Found Glory’s funnest covers from their Screen To Your Stereo albums.

Jimmy Eat World – A Praise Chorus featuring – Davey von Bohlen of The Promise Ring

If it wasn’t for bands like The Promise Ring, we may not even have Jimmy Eat world so its amazing two defining bands come together on one of the greatest albums of the genre

Bayside – The Walking Wounded – featuring Vinnie Caruana of I am the Avalanche”

Often overlooked, but nonetheless still a great example two vocalists with distinct styles coming together to add extra dimensions to the title track of the album.

You Me At Six – “Bite My Tongue – featuring Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon

Back in the day when I’d been to a couple of You Me at Six show, and twice the boys from BMTH had shown up to watch the gig. The poster boys for the new metal scene seem to have a soft spot for pop punk and this collaboration sees a very well put together cross-over of styles.
