8 UK Bands To Watch In 2015

The UK Pop Punk scene has never been as vibrant as it is today. Bands like Neck Deep and Birmingham’s own Light You Up have been signed to major US labels and are getting their heads above a jostling crowd. In a genre that used to be dominated by our transatlantic cousins, the UK is finally stepping toe to toe with the States and producing some home grown talent that will not only cement a healthy Pop Punk scene but define our own sound.

Here at THEPPD, we’re constantly keeping our ears glued to the grape vine looking for emerging new artists who have the potential to take up some serious space on your iPods. So we’ve complied a starter pack for the young guns of the UK scene who we think have the potential to make waves.

So grab yourselves a pen and paper and make note of these so next year you can tell all your friends you heard them hear first…

Trash Boat

From the sleeply little St Albans, the boys from Trash Boat have crafted some incredible hooks and have a reputation for putting ludicrous amounts of energy into their live shows. You do not want to miss these guys if they’re playing a show in your area.

Like Boston Manor, Nathan Detroit seem to have made their own path on the UK scene, and it won’t be too long until their mentioned in the same breath as Neck Deep. Their professional and well put together brand of pop punk is a healthy sign that this country has a wealth of untapped talent waiting for an opportunity to take over.
