The Pop Punk Days

PPD Recommend: Knuckle Puck

Knuckle Puck are a 4 piece punk rock band from the South Suburbs of Chicago.

If you are looking for a mix of The Story So Far, Real Friends and Transit then look no further.

‘Don’t Come Home’ their 3 track EP which showcases their sound in all it’s glory.

The first track aptly titled ‘Give Up’ is only 1 minute and 22 seconds long and is a fast introduction to the band. You can see that they have thrown all of their positives into this short track and it has definitely paid off.

Vocalist Joe Taylor’s voice is very defined and great for this genre of music.

Knuckle Puck have also capitalized on the use of backing vocals, which are a key ingredient and they
have used it to their advantage as you will hear in ‘Stuck’. The second track from their EP.

If you are looking for fast paced drumming, honest vocals and chuggy pop punk guitars then Knuckle Puck fits the bill.

I am excited to see what the future holds for this band as 3 songs just isn’t enough to gauge a great opinion, hopefully their next release will be a little longer and the band can finish defining their sound.
