Slam Dunk Festival 2018 Rumour Mill

It’s that time of year again when we start to predict who is going to be announced for next years slam dunk line up, without blowing our own trumpet we are pretty good at this so let’s try and get the majority right for the third year running, here we go.

1. Hit The Lights

We have seen Hit The Lights a few times over the past years and never disappointed to see them! Skip School Start Fights turns 10 years old next year so we are expecting them to be announced to play the album in its entirety at next years festival.

2. You Me At Six

Headlined the 2015 festival to celebrate 10 years of the festival, being one of the very first bands to play the festival when it first started. Next year their debut album ‘Take Off Your Colours’ which was released through Slam Dunk Records turns 10 years old, will we see the boys return to play it in full?

3. Forever The Sickest Kids

Another album turning 10 years old next year is the debut album from Forever The Sickest Kids, ‘Underdog Alma Mater’. The band have been playing the album in it’s entirety over in the states and would love to see these guys get announced at SDF18.

4. Fall Out Boy

A long shot, but have this hitch that we might see FOB at next years Slam Dunk Festival. Folie à Deux does turn 10 and they have a new album coming out in January, we will just have to wait to see which UK festival pays the money to bring them over.

5. Story Of The Year

Huge screamo nostalgia and recently released new music for the first time in 7 years gives a perfect combo for what we like to see at SDF.

6. Ryan Key (Yellowcard)

After Yellowcard came to an end earlier year we have seen Ryan Key as a solo artist popping up as support on a few tours. This would be a perfect addition to the acoustic stage at slam dunk festival next year and hope to be singing along to some classic YC hits.

7. Sum 41

I don’t think this would be too far-fetched for a slam dunk festival headliner next year, they are incredible live and now almost back to the original lineup, I would love nothing more than to hear these dudes riffing from the main stage.

So, who do you think will take to the stage next year? How many do you think we have right?
